Authors can contribute greatly to the successful promotion of their books and there are a number of ways we can work together.

 

Announce your book

Please announce your new book to your professional colleagues and to any societies, newsletters, email lists, LinkedIn groups or blogs that you have links with. You may also wish to include information on your new book in your email signature. If it would be useful we can also create a 35% discount code for use among your personal networks.

Please do link from your webpage and social media accounts (useful tips here) to both the book on our website and to the official electronic version of your book on Elgaronline. Search engines will prioritise webpages that have multiple links from university sites and social media or contain rich content, for instance video. To help promote your work, we have made the front matter and introduction or first chapter free to access on Elgaronline. 

 

Record a video

Video can be a very effective promotional tool and you may wish to consider making your own which we can then feature on the book's page on the website and in our marketing. This could be giving some background to your work or a quick synopsis of the book, highlighting some of the key problems and solutions covered. We invite you to write a short article on the topic of your book in an accessible style for the Elgarblog. We are happy for you to reuse this elsewhere. Likewise if you write a related blog article please tell us so we can share via social media.
